Background Info for the Trip

After a tremendous time of spiritual growth during my freshman year at Princeton University, the Lord has led me to an opportunity to work with some missionaries in Cameroon. Indeed the Lord Almighty is awesome; He raised up all the financial support I needed for the trip in just two weeks - plus some excess. I was able to purchase some critical computer parts to bring out with me to Cameroon, and I'm sure they'll be much appreciated.

I am primarily working at the Cameroon Baptist Theological Seminary (CBTS), servicing and maintaining their dated computers. At the seminary (working with Gary Stephens), I am also training the staff (and students, as are available and willing over the summer) and transferring their record-keeping to computer systems. I am spending some time working with Thom Schotanus (his webpage) at Banso Baptist Hospital, particularly with their computer systems. And I'm also travelling to Banyo to see John Dallmann's work with well-installation projects in the rural villages.

Most of the time I'll be living in a guest-house at the CBTS in Ndu. It will be neat to be living in the atmosphere of a seminary, with a focus on God and Christianity. And the whole experience will be an awesome opportunity to learn about the Cameroonian culture. I look forward to telling people about the ways I've grown and things I've learned in Cameroon.
