Information about Cameroon

I will be travelling in the region of the country shown in the magnified view below. I'm flying into Douala, and travelling up through Bamenda to Ndu. Most of the time I will be at Ndu, with trips to Kumbo and Banyo.

Cameroon is in the same time zone as Paris, five hours ahead of the Eastern United States. (i.e., 2:00 pm New York = 7:00 pm Ndu.) Ndu is just 4 degrees North of the equator, but has a moderate climate due to its elevation - weather will be rainy, but similar in temperature to summer in the Northeast of the US.

English and French are the main languages, although there are many native languages as well. Fortunately, I will be in an English-speaking province - the Northwest Province. For more general background and information on Cameroon, see the CIA's factbook webpage.
